About snacks.report
We believe office snacks matter. They're a window into company culture, priorities, and how much a workplace values its people. snacks.report is an anonymous platform where employees can honestly rate and review their office snack situation.
How It Works
Submitting Reports
To submit a report, you need to sign in with LinkedIn. This helps us verify you're a real person and prevents spam. However, once you submit a report, it's completely anonymous — no one can trace it back to you.
The Scoring System
Each report includes ratings across eight key dimensions:
- Overall — Your overall impression of the snack program
- Variety — How diverse is the snack selection?
- Quality — Are they good snacks or bottom-tier vending machine fare?
- Stocking — Are snacks always stocked or constantly running out?
- Dietary Options — Are there options for dietary restrictions?
- Beverages — How's the drink game?
- Ambience — Is the break room a nice place to snack?
- Value — Are snacks free, subsidized, or overpriced?
Trust Tiers
To combat fake or spammy reports, we use a trust system:
- Basic — New accounts. Reports are weighted normally.
- Verified — Established accounts with consistent contributions.
- Trusted — Highly trusted accounts with quality track records.
Anonymity & Privacy
When you sign in, we store a hashed version of your LinkedIn ID. We never store your name, email, or profile information. Reports are never publicly linked to your identity.
Even company admins can't see who submitted reports about their company.
General rule: Don't include details in your review that would let someone identify you in a small office or specific team.
Moderation
We review reports flagged as spam, fake, or abusive. Reports may be removed if they:
- Contain false information
- Include personal attacks or harassment
- Appear to be spam or manipulation
